Ingredients:
This makes about 40 meatballs
1.5 lbs 80/20 ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1 lb ground veal
3 tbsp finely diced parsley
2 tbsp finely diced basil
1 grated yellow onion
6 tbsp marinara
1.5 cups of Italian bread crumbs
3 eggs lightly beaten
2 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp fresh black pepper
1 cup fresh grated Pecorino Romano
5-6 cloves of finely minced garlic
Cooking Instructions:
Start with 1 ยฝ lbs of 80/20 ground beef, 1 lb of ground pork and 1 lb of ground veal. Add 1 cup of grated Pecorino Romano, 6 tablespoons of marinara, 5 cloves of minced garlic, 1 grated yellow onion, 3 tablespoons of diced parseley, 2 tablespoons of diced basil, 1 ยฝ cups of Italian bread crumbs, 3 beaten eggs, 2 teaspoons of kosher salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
Mix until well combined, donโt be afraid to use your hands. Use a quarter cup measuring spoon then form into balls, donโt overwork the mixture. Put on a parchment paper lined baking sheet and into the oven at 375 degrees for about 25-30 minutes until browned. Look how amazing these look! Now put them in your sauce and simmer for about 30 minutes. Add them on top of spaghetti or on a meatball sub and enjoy!
