Ingredients:
16 oz of whole mushrooms (About 23-25)
16 oz of Hot Italian Sausage
8 oz Cream Cheese
1/4 cup grated pecorino or parmesan cheese
2 tbsp fresh diced parsley
1/4 cup white wine
Cooking Instructions:
Start by removing the casings from some hot Italian sausage, you can use mild if you prefer. In a skillet on medium heat break up and cook the sausage until brown. I like to deglaze with a little white wine. Dice up a couple tablespoons of parsley then twist off the stems of the mushrooms and don’t throw them away. Dice up the mushroom stems then in a mixing bowl, combine 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, the cooked sausage, diced parsley, a handful of the diced stems, and about a quarter cup of fresh grated pecorino or parmesan and mix it well. Spoon the mixture into each mushroom and be generous! Set them on a baking pan with rack and pop them in a 400 degree oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Guys these are so easy to make and will be a massive hit at your next party or gathering.
