Ingredients:
White corn tortillas
1 lb of ground beef
1 packet of taco seasoning (whatever brand you choose, or you can make your own)
1/2 white onion, finely diced
1/2 serrano pepper, finely diced
La Victoria Taco Sauce (I like the Hot Salsa Brava)
Shredded lettuce
Grated colby jack cheese (Jack in the Box uses American cheese but I prefer Colby Jack)
Avocado oil (you can use whatever frying oil you choose, but avocado is my preference)
Cooking Instructions:
Brown a pound of ground beef with finely diced onion and serrano pepper. Stir in some taco seasoning and La Victoria taco sauce. Add a splash of water (about 1/4 cup) and let simmer for about 5 minutes. On a corn tortilla, add a spoonful of taco meat and a pinch of shredded Colby jack cheese, carefully fold it over and shallow fry in some hot avocado oil for about 1 minute on each side, until golden brown. Remove from the oil and let cool for a couple minutes on paper towels. Open up the taco and add in shredded lettuce and some La Victoria taco sauce. Just look at these tacos guys, its like Jack in the Box tacos got a glow up. Crispy, simple and delicious… you have to make these!
