Ingredients:
Ground Beef (Preferably 80/20)
Tortillas (I used Carb Balance tortillas from Mission)
Shredded Ice Berg lettuce
American Cheese
Dill pickle chips
Yellow onion diced
Kosher salt
Black pepper
Yellow Mustard
Olive oil
Tomatoes are optional if you like them
Burger sauce (spread):
Mayo
Ketchup (I used lower carb ketchup)
Sweet pickle relish
Distilled white vinegar Salt
Cooking Instructions:
Begin by making the burger sauce. Mix together 2 tbsp of mayo, 1 large tsp of sweet pickle relish, 1 large tsp of ketchup, 1 tsp of distilled white vinegar, and a pinch of kosher salt. on medium low heat add a diced onion in the pan with a little olive oil and kosher salt to taste; slowly saute for about 20 minutes until onions are caramelized. Form a ground beef ball a bit smaller than a baseball and smash onto the tortilla. Season with kosher salt, black pepper and spread on some yellow mustard. Preheat pan to medium high heat and put tortilla meat side down and saute for about 3 minutes. Flip tortilla over, add American cheese slices and continue cooking for a couple more minutes (You can cover to help melt cheese). Remove from pan and build buy adding burger sauce, caramelized onions, pickle chips, shredded lettuce and more burger sauce (if you like tomatoes, you can add those as well). Enjoy!
